I rocked your boat, in a good way
You told me yesterday.
You melted me into the ocean
No boats, no land for me.
With softest brushes, lips on eyelashes
I became the sea.
~
But now your boat has landed
Back upon the shore
And I feel a fluttering fear
You’ll come to sea no more.
What if my rocking scared you
Fast freedom in your heart
Did my endless, expansive, open
Induce a tremulous start?
~
But the sea cannot help what it is
And the boat was made to be rocked
So no matter what happens
To you back on dry land
Should your joy turn to pain
Holding guilt in your hand
Just remember our boat in the ocean that rocked
And how potent it felt, to let your heart be unlocked.
