I Will Meet You

I will meet you
Where the water falls
At dawn
Fresh morning roaring
Through our veins
With a flask of tea,
And a soft blanket,
But first we leap.

I will meet you
At the tall tangled tree
At the height of midday
With a picnic lunch
And a rope to tie with,
But first we climb.

I will meet you
At the sunset beach
Gold drenched & cooling
From the days fierce heat
With a bottle of wine
And a lingering kiss
But first we watch
And make a wish.

I will meet you
In the wild night
Alive with mystery
Neath soft starlight
With a hand to hold
Finding glowworms and ruru
And the promise of bodies
Warm-pressed
In a love nest

And of waking
Entangled
In bliss.
