Falling Through a Mind Field
(Anonymous Submission)
.
There are moments when your neurons knit together in such a perfect puzzle piece that you are struck by the delicate complexity housed in your sludgey brain…
Then social software kicks in,
Culture, language and religion,
The processing systems of our
Unprocessable system:
Dismiss them.
But not for long,
If you float on the cerebral winds
You’ll soon miss them.
Madness is what you swim through.
It’s a mixed up dreamworld of symbols
Signifying something you half knew.
To the depths of you let’s travel,
Will your consciousness unravel?
How deep does your psyche sink?
You’re as slippery as a fresh Ice Rink,
I want to bring you right to the brink,
Of this gaping abyss
In the waiting absence of a kiss.
How fast do you want to drop?
Do you trust me to make it stop?
Feel my hand on your brain,
As we’re dancing in the rain,
Life’s a bubble that I want to pop.
But my mind’s forever blowing them,
And I don’t know where to go with them:
Do I sit on this bus until
the
very
last
stop?
In fact I really need your help,
As I tangle in my own brain’s kelp,
I’ve got nowhere safe to go
I’m a dead dandelion to blow
Look through my smile
Hold me close for a while
Like the Grinch, my bruised heart will grow.
