Peaceful power surrounds this hour
Sea flowers drowned out by the sounds of the starfish laugh mixed with the clink from the onshore bar keep as he hands me my drink neat, wave on wave, savour the taste
Who would’ve known that everybody has toes too
My mama said son you must put on your shoes
Who would’ve known that everybody has toes too
When all of our clothes cover what we are
For what we do
And how we think
And what we like
And what we eat
And who we’d fight for
If the call for war came
Still peaceful power surrounds this hour
The sea lion’s associates drive by
Seems strange to see such skin through every eye
Try to Find new normal, in the protean stages
An appreciation for all flavours
Of sea salted chips with onion dip.
